Sam Johnson is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Officer with 20 years of leadership experience, including command roles at all echelons in Marine artillery. A Virginia Military Institute graduate with a Mechanical Engineering degree, Sam transitioned to civilian life as a Program Manager at Duke Energy and later served as Executive Vice President for a national veteran nonprofit supporting wounded service members.

He is a licensed North Carolina General Contractor and owner of Ryor Properties, LLC, as well as the founder of Pet Passages – Charlotte, a dignified pet cremation service. Sam is an active football coach in the Charlotte Metro area, currently leading Union Academy’s Middle School team and formerly coaching the Carolina Bearcats varsity team. He holds a Soldiers to Sidelines Football Coaching Certification and is a member of the American Football Coaches Association.
